I have fortunately never had the displeasure of working in a call centre, but I do know someone who has — in fact, she’s worked in a number of them. It may all be hearsay, but the stories she’s told me liken the experience of working in a call centre to that of working on an egg farm (if you were one of the chickens).
But apparently they’re not all bad. Here is one call centre company that’s experiencing rapid growth and doing so by not treating their employees like shit. See? There is justice in this world.

Bahahaha! IQor called me to pay the parking ticket I had from last year (of whichI thought I beat the system). *side note* the ‘reminder notice’ was sent to my parent’s address.
Although, I must say, I paid the next day and the customer service rep at iQor was very helpful and friendly.
